The Kankakee Paranormal Research Society also returned to the parade for a second year. The society did not have to build a float because members drove and rode in the organization's black, skull-encrusted truck. A trailer that emitted fog and played music was attached to the vehicle.

Logan Pence, a member of the research society, said Kankakee Paranormal decided to participate in the parade for a second time to increase recognition of the organization and offer their free investigative services to those who may be dealing with unexplained paranormal activity. After participating in last year's parade, the team investigated two haunted homes in Herscher.
